The Brilliant 2021 Accounting and Finance Salary Guide includes base salary information from entry through c-level positions among 12 categories including corporate accounting, corporate finance, financial systems, internal audit/SOX, tax, treasury, financial reporting, project management, AP/AR, payroll, credit & collections, and billing.

The Brilliant 2021 Technology Salary Guide includes base salary information from entry through c-level positions among 10 categories including database administration, QA and testing, internet and e-commerce, networking & telecommunications, security, software development, tech support, administration, applications development, consulting & systems, and implementation.

Despite the COVID-19 global pandemic and record unemployment rates, Brilliant expects a flat-to-small increase in salaries (1.5% average increase for accounting & finance and 2% average increase for technology) in 2021.

Brilliant President, Kathy Spearing, explains, “The demand for accounting, finance and technology professionals will continue into 2021. As for the methodology in determining the salaries, Brilliant considered company size, experience level, certifications, demand of the role, figures from last year, current market intel, and competitor analysis.

The salaries published are based on the Greater Chicago market where Brilliant is headquartered. Variations on salaries for other U.S. markets can be calculated at the information found within each Appendix.
