Brilliant Lends a Helping Hand to Families of A Safe Haven Foundation

CHICAGO, Illinois (August 4, 2015) — Brilliant™, the number-one ranked, fastest-growing company in Chicago slowed down for a day to organize a Field Day for the families of A Safe Haven Foundation last week.

Nearly 70 Brilliant team members volunteered their time at A Safe Haven Foundation, a comprehensive program that helps homeless individuals with various disabilities, addictions or financial crises reenter society. Many women and children are among the residents of the facility and its numerous other locations.

For the Field Day, Brilliant team members set up 10 different activity stations on the grounds of A Safe Haven for the children and families to enjoy. From baby pools to Wiffle Ball, volleyball to Double Dutch, and hopscotch to face painting, infants, toddlers, pre-teens and parents alike were able to participate in the fun.

To combat the summer heat, Brilliant team members brought popsicles, popcorn, water and other treats to cool down the kids. A great time was had by all and the Field Day was deemed a success. CEO Jim Wong, CPA (Inactive) says, “There’s no doubt this was a day to remember for the families of A Safe Haven and for our team. I know we made a positive impact on those children’s lives. By their smiling faces alone, I could tell we were making a difference. We were able to live out our mission of making people’s lives better, and that includes our community. To me, that’s a great day.”

In addition to the hours spent during the Field Day event, Brilliant made a monetary donation to A Safe Haven Foundation for purchase of new car seats.
