CHICAGO, Illinois (Dec. 15, 2016) — Brilliant™, an award-winning search, staffing and management resources firm specializing in accounting, finance and information technology, celebrated the holiday season with families of A Safe Haven Foundation this week.
Nearly 25 Brilliant team members volunteered their time at A Safe Haven Foundation, a social enterprise that helps people aspire, transform and sustain their lives as they transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose.
A Safe Haven provides shelter, food, treatment, education and job training to families in need. Some of the populations served include military veterans, families, non-violent criminal justice impacted populations, as well as men, women and children.
For the Holiday Party, Brilliant team members organized eight different activity stations on the grounds of A Safe Haven for the children and families to enjoy. From a hot chocolate bar to a cookie decorating station, create-your-own ornament to face painting and ring toss games, infants, toddlers, pre-teens and parents alike participated in the fun.
CEO Jim Wong, CPA (Inactive) says, “There’s no doubt this holiday party was a day to remember for the families of A Safe Haven and for our team. Judging by the excitement and smiling faces in that room, it’s safe to say we made a positive impact on those children’s lives. We are always happy to live out our mission of making people’s lives better, and that includes our community. To me, that’s a great day.”
The fun didn’t stop there—each partygoer received a small party favor before leaving the party. Brilliant team members were happy to spread holiday cheer to the families and a great time was had by all.
