Chicago-Area Graduate Accounting Majors Earn Scholarships for Excellence

CHICAGO (Oct. 14, 2013) — Chicago-based Brilliant™, a leader in staffing and management resources within finance, accounting, and information technology, announces the recipients of its annual accountancy scholarship.

Adam R. Ciccone of Naperville, Ill., and Andrew G. Haroldson of Geneva, Ill., both upper level Accountancy majors at Northern (DeKalb) Illinois University, have been selected to each receive the Brilliant™ Scholarship. Each student will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship for the 2013-2014 school year.

“I’m paying my way through grad school with no financial aid,” explains award recipient Adam R. Ciccone. “I’ve been working since I was 12-years-old and to get a break, being rewarded like this, shows that hard work really does pay off.”

The scholarships are awarded based on GPA and several other academic factors by the Accountancy Department Awards Committee.
