Laurie Vicente is the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications at Brilliant and oversees all brand and digital marketing, corporate communications, and public relations for the firm. She joined Brilliant in 2014 to start the internal marketing department. She was responsible for launching the brand’s digital footprint including all SEO, email, advertising, public relations and social media efforts.
Before Brilliant, Laurie worked as a Marketing Director at LSAV, a live-event production company. Prior to that, she was a Marketing Manager in nonprofit health care at the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) where she received the 2012 APEX Award for excellence in video production and was a key contributor to the Ad Council’s Two Minutes, Twice a Day PSA. Laurie also supported the administrative and research teams at Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation (now called Northwestern Medical Group) from 2005 to 2009.
In 2014, Laurie completed her master’s certification in social media marketing. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University in 2001.
In 2004, she started her own publication, Chicago Dance Magazine, where she served as the Editor in Chief and co-owner until 2006. Laurie has contributed to many publications both locally and nationally.
