Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Business Applications Analyst. This client is a nonprofit specialty hospital with locations in Chicago and Hinsdale serving patients with catastrophic or acute illnesses complicated by multiple medical issues. Founded in 1987, they are the largest ventilator weaning hospital in the United States.Our client is a recognized leader in best practices for wound care and medically complex patient rehabilitation. The Business Applications Analyst is a 6 month contract located in Burr Ridge, IL.

 

Business Applications Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of business applications, O365, SQL, HIPAA, departmental and non-PCS workflow.
  • Independently facilitate the design of business workflow focused on improved efficiencies, solving workflow issues and incorporating quality initiatives.
  • Participate in development of end user training materials and training efforts.
  • Assists other team members in good documentation habits.
  • Identify and analyze complex issues with vendor assistance and bring problem tickets to resolution.
  • Work with other application analysts to insure system integrations.
  • Utilize and maintain appropriate change control procedures and standards.
  • Thoroughly test all system changes to ensure reliable operations, requested initiatives have been met and existing functionality is not denigrated
  • Act as liaison between users and vendors to resolve complex system or functionality issues
  • Investigate, analyze, and coordinate the resolution of day-to-day user related system problems.  
  • Log tasks/issues in Help Desk tracking software, document action taken and close tickets in an accurate and timely manner.

Business Applications Analyst Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Security certification preferred
  • 3 year IS related work experience
  • 1 years Meditech experience
  • 1 year EMR experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and tools
  • O365 / Sharepoint experience, configuration, deployment
  • Expert level understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Operational experience with business applications, desktop support, SQL, Excel
  • Cisco phone system experience
  • SQL report writing
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise with Office products including O365/Sharepoint, Excel (macros, pivot tables, and ODBC linkage), and SQL.
  • Ability to create and maintain appropriate system documentation.
  • Ability to perform on call duties as required.
