with Al Riehle

I am a creative and strategic career coach, senior recruiter and hiring consultant who offers first-hand experience and insightful advice for both those seeking to find employment and those offering it; so they can plan and enact a comprehensive and knowledge-based approach to navigating a complicated and evolving job market.”

Albert “Call me Al—Really” Riehle is a Client Engagement Specialist and a Brand Ambassador for Brilliant Financial Staffing, the temporary and temp-to-hire division of Brilliant. Al started with the firm in December 2014 as a Recruiting Manager, working closely with accounting and finance professionals seeking transactional accounting positions in the greater Chicago labor market.

Al recently transitioned into a new role, Client Engagement Specialist. While he remains involved with candidates in some capacity, his focus has switched to that of the client-side of the business. He engages with client companies through various touchpoints, inbound marketing initiatives and other technical campaigns.

Al’s straight-forward style and ‘no holds barred’ approach along with his dedication to helping others in their careers makes him an invaluable evangelist for the Brilliant brand. The ‘All Access Blog’ with Al Riehle is an editorial-based blog from Al’s point of view (not necessarily that of Brilliant) on various recruiting and staffing topics, along with other useful subjects.

Spring is officially here and there’s never a better time than now to talk about the subject of growth. Many companies, as they scale their businesses, put their money into more sales, more marketing, more operations, and often forget to supplement the accounting department. It’s an easy mistake to make because accounting …

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: People leave their job because of their managers not the companies themselves. How about this one? Never speak poorly of your former manager in a job interview. So, if it’s taboo to speak poorly of a manager in an interview and most people leave their jobs because they don’t like/get along with/work well with their manager, we’re essentially training people to lie during job interviews…

Is it worth your time to meet with a staffing firm even if your team is set and you don’t foresee any changes in the near future? Yes. Why so? Well, for starters, if your clairvoyance level helps you pick the winning lottery numbers every week, then that’s one thing. However, most of us can’t see into the future…

There’s a commercial I’ve seen quite a bit. It’s the h.h. gregg commercial where they talk about FOBO—Fear Of Better Options. In the ad, a woman talks about how she used to feel anxious about purchasing a major appliance. It turns out, she suffered from FOBO. But when she found h.h. Gregg—everything changed…

The first week back after the holidays can be a difficult one. After days of sleeping, taking naps and choosing our own pace, the work week is thrust back upon us today. There's no time for wading back, into the pool, gently, though. It's important to get 2017 off to a good start…

Candidate Testimonials Testimonials

Albert and I have worked together for almost 2 years in the Financial Staffing division at Brilliant. There are so many things I can say about Albert and his ability in being a successful recruiter. He succeeds immensely in relationship building, listening and acting with integrity. His active listening abilities allows him to fully get to know our candidates, not just what is written on a resume, but to learn their story and how he can help. He truly invests the time in getting to know them on so many levels and in doing that, Albert has a tremendous success rate at matching the right candidate to the right opportunity. He is a true relationship builder. Integrity is a trait that Albert takes very seriously, he is very ethical and not pushy at all. I am honored to work with Albert daily, as he ALWAYS puts a smile on everyone’s face who he comes in contact with!Amy Sabel, Division Director, Brilliant Financial Staffing
